Gmail Doubles attachment size to 20MB

May 25th, 2007 by Jason DeBoer-Moran

Gmail has doubled the allowed attachment size to 20 MB.  This is double the size that Concordia’s Exchange server allows.  I am not certain if this will take affect for Google Apps for Domains right away, but most features are tested first in public gmail before moving to domain gmail.  It is worth noting that many e-mail servers will deny attachments over 10MB, so this is an interesting transition for them to make.

Dell Ships Ubuntu Loaded Laptops

May 1st, 2007 by Jason DeBoer-Moran

I was reading my feeds this morning and noticed that Dell will ship Ubuntu as an alternative operating system on their PCs.  I am curious how they are going to make wireless more comfortable on a laptop model, but it is good news all around for open source initiative folks.
I am hoping this summer to spend a bit of time with Fiesty Fawn in order to test the new wireless features on the Concordia Laptops.

Calendar Printing

April 24th, 2007 by Jason DeBoer-Moran

Question regarding Google Calendar and Printing.

When you select print weeks to print in Google Calendar, it only allows a maximum of 7 weeks to be selected.  When you select the print icon on the google page it creates a PDF of your calendar, but on two pages.  Any ideas how to get some more advanced printing out of calendar?
